RECALL PROTOCOL

FAQ

Common questions about hero creation, suggestions, moderation, and how Recall Protocol works.

What is Recall Protocol?

Recall Protocol is a fan-made Overwatch hero design lab where you can create, edit, and share custom hero concepts.

How do I create and publish a hero?

Start from Create Hero, fill the guided steps, and publish from the hero editor. You can edit your hero later and keep drafts before publishing changes.

Can I create Stadium items, powers, and builds too?

Yes. Hero authoring includes Stadium content, and published heroes can have Stadium builds shared on their Stadium pages.

Can I submit suggestions without signing in?

Yes. Suggestions can be submitted as Anonymous. Signing in is optional for submissions but required for voting.

What is the Suggestion Tracker?

The Suggestion Tracker shows community ideas with category, ranking, and state filters so active and implemented items can be reviewed separately.

How do likes, ranking, and sorting work?

Suggestions support different ranking views: Popular (score-focused), Newest (creation date), and Hot (time-decayed). This keeps fresh ideas discoverable while still rewarding highly upvoted entries.

How do moderation and reporting work?

Community submissions can be reviewed by admins and hidden or rejected when needed. You can report content from the report page if it violates policy.

Do I need an account?

Browsing heroes and suggestions does not require an account. Signing in unlocks ownership, editing continuity, voting, and moderation-sensitive actions.

Why do some pages or assets look different in local testing?

Local/test environments can run with reduced capabilities versus production (for example, certain rendering fallbacks). Core browser flows are still validated through Playwright E2E.

Where can I find policies and legal info?

See Content Policy and DMCA Policy for details.

Is Recall Protocol affiliated with Blizzard?

No. Recall Protocol is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment.
